Types of Sealer We Utilize
At Grime Reaper Pressure Washing we utilize high quality professional grade sealers. We apply penetrating sealers that will not change the appearance or texture of your surface as well as film forming sealers with optional anti-slip additives for applications such as stamped decorative concrete to keep your investment and family safe.
Concrete Cleaning and Sealing Process:Â
Preparation is the key to getting longevity out of sealing your concrete. With Power Washing we utilize our hot water system to greatly improve cleaning results. We also offer concrete restoration which can either completely remove or greatly improve the appearance of tire marks, oil stains, rust stains, and other organic stains before applying sealer.
- Day 1 - We wash and perform stain remediation to the previously agreed to areas.
- Day 2 - We have a waiting period of 24hrs after washing to allow the concrete to completely dry to maximize its ability to absorb the sealer. Concrete sealer is expensive and optimizing depth of absorption is critical to maximizing the performance of your investment. During drying we request that sprinkler systems are turned off and we schedule the application of sealer around the weather forecast.
- Day 3 - Once the weather has cooperated for drying, and there is no rain forecasted (typically 8 hours after application), we are now ready to apply sealer. On sealing day we will mask off sensitive adjacent surfaces. Depending on the sealer being applied we will provide you with a timeline for when foot and vehicle traffic can safely resume.
